Why choose MoniDose?
MoniDose is a Finnish medication dispenser that differs from hand-dispensing and pill organisers in three ways. It dispenses pharmacy-packed dose sachets automatically at the right time, it identifies the sachet before dispensing it, and it records every taken and missed dose without a nurse writing anything down. One device serves two patients on separate schedules and logs, which halves the device cost for couples and shared rooms. A missed dose raises an alert to the responsible nurse and to the family. The underlying problem is medication safety: Finland records roughly 28,000 medication-related incident reports a year. MoniDose is being developed as a Class I medical device under EU MDR 2017/745 and is not yet registered.

Being developed as a medical device
MoniDose is being developed as a Class I medical device with software in accordance with EU MDR 2017/745. Quality management is implemented with the MoniDoseQMS system, which follows ISO 13485 principles.
