The right medication at the right time — and you are never out of the loop
MoniDose reminds and dispenses the pharmacy’s multi-dose pouches at home. If a dose is missed, you and the care team are notified — and you can call and message your family member and the care team through the device and the apps.
The worry does not end when the door closes
Was the morning medication taken? Is it safe to leave for the weekend? Many families live with these questions every day. MoniDose does not remove the distance, but it removes the guessing: the device reminds about the dose, dispenses the right pouch at the right time and tells you if a dose is missed.
For your family member, it means independent everyday life in their own home. For you, it means you get to be a daughter, a son or a spouse — not the medication minder.

Family and care team on the same connection
These features are in use today — not plans.
Know when a dose is missed
If a dose is not taken, a notification goes to the family and the care team. No more calling around and guessing — you know, and the care team decides on the follow-up.
Call and see your family member
You can make voice and video calls to your family member directly through the device — and reach the care team with calls and messages in the same app. The connection works both ways.
A health diary shared with the care team
Your family member — or you — can record everyday values such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, blood sugar, pain and mood, and they are shared with the care team. The team reviews the entries and decides what they mean.
Apps for iOS, Android and the browser
The whole family can stay involved from their own phone or computer — notifications, messages and calls travel in the same system, whether you live next door or in another town.
Designed for an ordinary Finnish home
No home broadband needed
The device uses the cellular network, so it works in homes without an internet subscription. No routers to install, no passwords to remember.
Keeps working through a power cut
Battery backup keeps the device running during a power outage. Taking the medication does not depend on a stormy evening.
Simple and dignified
The device reminds and dispenses the dose pouch at the right time. The family does not need to sort pills into an organizer — you get to be a family, not a medication service.
Where we are today — honestly
- The MoniDose device is being developed as a Class I device under EU MDR 2017/745; the device is not yet registered.
- The device reminds, dispenses, verifies the pouch and reports events — a healthcare professional always decides on care and medication.
- The health diary consists of self-recorded values that the care team reviews. The device does not monitor wellbeing on its own and does not detect falls or emergencies — in an emergency, always call 112.
